Bolt Clip / Solid Brass / Ipe
This is my favorite style of pen for everyday carry. The hardware is solid brass, which wears well and has a hefty, solid feel. The pocket clip is durable, and doesn’t snag on clothing or bend during heavy use.
The mechanism even has a definitive sound that only comes from all solid metal hardware.
This one in particular was paired with Ipe… I pronounce it “Eee-pay”, but I could still be wrong. Either way, Ipe is TOUGH. It’s extremely hard to work with, but once it’s sanded and finished, the color and luster is tough to beat. If you’re prone to dropping pens, or just being hard on things, Ipe may be a good match for you.
